When I first embarked on this journey, I wasn’t just starting an organization—I was fighting for a future where no one with Sickle Cell is defined by their diagnosis. I know the fears, the challenges, and the stigma firsthand. But I also know the strength, resilience, and limitless potential that lies within every warrior.
Empower Sickle Cell was born out of a deep desire to turn pain into purpose. I refused to let misconceptions influence what was possible for my children, and I refuse to let them dictate what’s possible for anyone else living with Sickle Cell. This is not just about awareness—it’s about empowerment. It’s about proving that warriors can live full, vibrant lives, free from the weight of outdated beliefs.
We are here to educate, to uplift, and to break barriers. But most of all, we are here to inspire. If you have Sickle Cell, know this: you are powerful. You are capable. You are not alone. And together, we will change the narrative. This is our movement, And this is just the beginning.
